As reported by Health Magazine, one out of five people suffer from a common food allergy, however many bakeries and restaurants do not cater to their needs. The gluten free population is considered an emerging market and is growing very fast. Grocery store sales rose over 30% between 2008 and 2010 with sales totaling 2.6 billion in 2010. We are here to accommodate those people and fulfill their needs.


One in every 3 people in the United States at some point in the year will be on a diet, this segment is typically making modifications to their diet based on their desire to lose weight and seeking healthy alternatives to accomplish this goal. According to Self Magazine, they wrote of 20 new diet fads that discouraged certain foods such as wheat and dairy. The bestselling book on the New York Time list for health was the "Blood Type Diet" which encourages readers to eat only non-gluten flours. While this target market is quite large, it is ever fluctuating since most people who diet yo-yo between different diets (Self Magazine). The most recent industry numbers estimate that at any given time up to 50 million people in the United States can be on some form of a diet. America's current population is 300 million, and the city of Chicago's population is over 3 million.

The Baby Boomer population that is aging and they are very aware of healthy eating for a healthy extended life style and of course there are those with Doctors Orders to eat healthy. Bountiful will make it easy and tasty to follow the doctors orders. For health reasons, many people are advised to avoid certain foods by their doctors because of high cholesterol and blood pressure. Currently the main killer in the U.S. is heart disease according the American Heart Association. Many Americans aged 50+ are going on special diets to prevent heart disease. Many of those on these diets are told to eat diets plentiful with fresh vegetables and nutritious proteins like we serve at Bountiful Eatery.

Friends and Family
